a note from our cofounder
At vitruvi we believe what we do goes beyond essential oils. We create products with the intention of helping women take moments for themselves. Moments that let them recharge and take on the world with even more energy and passion. We truly believe the reward of our success as a company in Canada and the USA over the past 3 years is to be able to connect with women on a global scale.
We’re privileged to start this international work with One Girl Can—a Canadian charity based in Vancouver that works collaboratively with schools and communities in Kenya and Uganda. Having spent time in Africa, as well as working in rural regions of Kenya, I can confidently say that what One Girl Can is building with the women of Kenya and Uganda is truly unique and their positive impact will be felt for generations.
I'm excited for what the future holds as vitruvi builds and supports a relationship with One Girl Can and it’s an honour to work with Lotte and her team.
why one girl can
We were drawn to One Girl Can because they support the growth, education, advancement and empowerment of women and girls. Their donations go directly to supporting and educating the girls in the program, and each girl has a beautiful story and has worked very hard to be there. One Girl Can’s administration costs are fully funded through sales from founder Lotte’s for-profit business, AG Hair. This model, along with their give-back program is one of the more unique development models Sara has seen having worked in Africa. Also, every education that is pursued must be in the sciences or focused on business, which helps to break the cycle of poverty.
"We’re so proud to be partnering with a such a contemporary and socially-conscious company like vitruvi. Their commitment to make social purpose an integral part of their overall business strategy makes so much sense today. It’s up to all of us to be the change we want to see in the world, and vitruvi lives and breathes this adage with the same passion and integrity they put into the outstanding products they create." - Lotte Davis, Founder of One Girl Can

our current initiative
To start off our partnership with One Girl Can, we are sponsoring Pamela’s first year of at university in Kenya. Pamela is 18 years old and is super passionate about biology. We're so thrilled to be supporting her as she starts her journey to study medicine and pursue her goal of becoming a doctor.
