The living room is where you relax. It’s where you kick your feet up with a good book, a glass of wine, or a new binge-worthy Amazon Prime show. It’s best when it’s cozy, comfortable, and classic. Here are the essential oils that you can diffuse to help you achieve the perfect living room vibe.

Cedarwood Essential Oil

Cedarwood is cozy and comforting, reminiscent of naps by the fire. Add 15 drops to a diffuser for the coziest aroma while you read Deborah Levy’s stirring Hot Milk.

Bergamot Essential Oil

With an aroma of Earl grey tea, Bergamot is homey and relaxing. Fill a spray bottle with water and add 10 drops of Bergamot, then mist your sofa and chairs for a hint of citrus every time you sit down.

Ceremony Essential Oil Blend

Cleanse the energy of your space with the help of Ceremony, a smoky, warming blend featuring Palo Santo, Clary Sage, and Cedarwood. It smells like incense and well-worn tarot cards, which will give your living room a true grounding vibe. Add 20 drops to your diffuser.

Spruce Essential Oil

Refreshing and woodsy, Spruce smells like a forest, making it a great brightening option for larger rooms. Mix 50 drops with 1 cup of baking soda for a revitalizing carpet deodorizer; simply sprinkle the mixture over targeted areas of your rug, let it sit for 20 minutes, and then vacuum up the remains. Or, add 15 drops to your diffuser for an aroma that brings the outdoors in.

Now grab some chips and dip, and cue up The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.
